Sean Hood
Sean had a passion for art and craft since a young age, he stumbled across a bonsai nursery on the way to school in 1995.
The passion for bonsai has only grown from there.
From a modest beginning in a small nursery on the Central Coast and a period of study with Lee Wilson, Sean has become a popular demonstrator whose work has been represented in the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection in Canberra.
He enjoys everything about bonsai, putting the first bend in a 2 year old seedling to working on old collected material.
“A great tree can be made from any material with time and good technique.”
Sean seems equally comfortable working on spectacularly massive olives and water gums, as he is creating delightful Shohin pines and maples.
