Megumi was born in Tokyo and studied Horticulture at Ryde School of Horticulture. She is an accomplished bonsai instructor affiliated with the Nippon Bonsai Kyokai Association, Bonsai Federation of Australia (BFA), and the Australian Association of Bonsai Clubs (AABC).

With many years of experience, Megumi has demonstrated her expertise in bonsai through workshops, exhibitions, and demonstrations across all Australian states and internationally.

Her favorite tree varieties include Japanese Black Pines, Shimpaku junipers, Australian native figs, and various deciduous species.

In addition to her bonsai work, Megumi serves as the head of the Ikebana Koryu Shoyokai School. She is also the former President and now an Honorary Patron of the Bonsai Society of Sydney.
